The Best of Black Eats Week event will be held on Sunday, June 28th from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at The Gala Event Center, 1801 Bush River Road. Restaurants, food trucks, personal chefs, caterers, and bakeries are all encouraged to participate and compete for the BEST OF in respective categories (including Best macaroni & cheese, fried chicken, oxtails, fried fish, nonalcoholic beverage, alcoholic beverage, and more.) Votes will be amongst attendees of the event. You must be willing to give at minimum 100 samples of the products in the categories that you wish to compete. You are encouraged to sell full portions of any food items at your discretion. You must a licensed business in the state of South Carolina with a City of Columbia business license. Must comply with DHEC health regulations. Must provide proof of insurance. Serving utensils will be provided. You may register for up to 3 categories.
Set up begins at 8:00 AM. You must be set up by 11:00 AM, because VIP attendees may attend at 12:00 NOON. You will be provided with an 8 ft table and 2 chairs. Electricity will be limited.
